After 45 days, 3 countries, 16 towns, 19 hotel rooms (and yes, one carry-on) — I’m home!
Travel can be a lot. The packing, the repacking, the questionable airport snacks... but oh man, it’s always SO worth it.
I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My heart is full, my suitcase is dusty, and yep — I’m still jet lagged.
Let’s catch up!
🧡What It Really Looks Like to Travel With Us
You know those moments when you look around and think, “How is this my life right now?”
That’s what we want for our travelers! Every. Single. Time.
Whether it’s taking a morning tai chi lesson on the top deck of your boat in Bai Tu Long Bay.
Sipping a "secret family recipe" cup of chai in a garden in Jaipur.
Or just laughing with new friends over dinner.
TNN tours are all about connection. We don’t do surface-level. We do soul-level. And seeing the joy in your faces? That’s everything!
And if you need proof we’re doing something right… these recent testimonials left us so touched:
“The Vietnam trip surpassed my expectations. There was so many wonderful activities baked into the itinerary and the travel buddies in our group were all thoughtful, fun-loving, and adventurous... I will surely be joining another TNN adventure in the near future! ” – Shri, Vietnam 2025
“This was a trip of a lifetime. I’ve wanted to go to India for 30 years and this trip did not disappoint. Lisa and her team were amazing. Every single detail was carefully and meticulously planned.” – Liz, India 2025
“Huge shoutout to the team behind this trip—they made it seamless and so special. I’d 100% recommend this experience to anyone curious about Vietnam and wanting to see it in a meaningful, fun, and authentic way.” – Christina, Vietnam 2025
What is Climate Migration?
Do you know Stuff You Should Know? I’ve been listening to this podcast for ages and these guys never miss. Their recent episode on How Climate Migration Works is fascinating, and really struck a chord with me as a traveler.
We move for all sorts of reasons—jobs, family, adventure—but relocating because it’s just... too hot to stay? That’s becoming an increasingly real scenario for many. And while most people don’t want to leave their homes, climate change is forcing their hand, whether it’s because they can no longer farm, or natural disasters keep wiping out their communities, or a plethora of other reasons.
For travelers like us, this has real implications too. Some of the places we love most may become harder to visit during traditional travel seasons. Others might shift entirely—think shorter tourism windows, increased risk of weather disruptions, or regions becoming less accessible over time. At the same time, new destinations may emerge as previously cooler places warm up.
There’s no clear estimate yet on the total impact, as it really all depends on how aggressively the world addresses the climate crisis. But one thing’s for sure: it’s going to affect how and where we explore.
Let’s be honest… I’m writing this through a fog of espresso and wildly confused circadian rhythms.
They say it takes "a day to recover for every time zone you cross", so (doing calcs in my head) after 14 of them, let’s just say my body thinks it’s Thursday… in a different hemisphere.
I enjoyed these tips on managing jet lag — worth a read if you're planning a big trip (or just got home from one like me). And here are my go-to tricks for shaking off that time-warped travel zombie feeling:
Get outside in natural light — even if you’re still wearing pajama pants.
Don’t nap. (Okay… maybe a 20-minute "rest your eyes" moment. But seriously, set an alarm.)
Hydrate like your life depends on it.
Move your body — even a walk around the block helps.
Plan out your week accordingly. For me, jet lag usually kicks in hard after 2 or 3 days—right when I assume it should be gone. No chance!
Yes, jet lag is real — and kind of rude. But honestly? It’s just your body’s way of saying, “Whoa, that was fricking amazing.”🙂
How Soon is Too Soon? 🙏
Planning a trip to a destination that’s experienced a natural disaster can feel complicated. You don’t want to show up too soon, strain resources, or seem insensitive to communities still healing.
But when a place has rebuilt—when local leaders and residents say, “We’re ready for visitors!”—your presence can actually be a lifeline.
Tourism dollars help restore livelihoods. Human connection brings joy. And the act of traveling becomes part of the whole healing process.
Whether it be Los Angeles County, Turkey, or the Caribbean, this article dives into the MANY destinations that are welcoming travelers once again, and what a huge difference it makes when you visit with heart and intention.

Locals want tourists to return. They’ve said it loud and clear. Which is why we’re so honored to be heading there for our November 2025 Morocco tour. It’s not just an incredible adventure… it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.
